Our Work

The African Pensions Supervirosy Association (APSA) is a regional organization established to address and promote the interests and development of pension systems across the African continent. Its primary mandate is to enhance the effectiveness, sustainability, and inclusiveness of pension schemes in African countries. The APSA operates as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and advocacy among pension stakeholders, including government bodies, pension funds, employers, employees, and other relevant parties.

The APSA’s key objectives include:

Advocacy and Policy Development: The APSA works to influence and shape pension-related policies at national and regional levels. By engaging with policymakers and relevant authorities, the association aims to create a conducive environment for the growth and improvement of pension systems.

Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing: Through workshops, conferences, and training programs, the APA seeks to enhance the knowledge and skills of pension administrators, policymakers, and other stakeholders. By sharing best practices and relevant research, the association aims to strengthen pension management and governance.

Research and Data Collection: The APSA conducts research and gathers data on various aspects of pension systems in Africa. This information helps identify challenges and opportunities within different pension schemes, enabling evidence-based decision-making and the development of tailored solutions.

Collaboration and Networking: As a platform for collaboration, the APSA encourages networking among pension institutions, enabling them to learn from each other’s experiences and share innovative approaches to pension administration.
